Blue Bell Private Residence

This 9,400 square foot traditional manor house commands a 10 acre estate in historic Blue Bell.  Peter Zimmerman Architects combined the symmetrical design with a stucco finish to display an aura of formality and to contrast with the numerous restored stone dams and bridges on the property.  The indoor lap pool occupies the wing that resembles a converted stable and is reminiscent of the property’s farming past.

Our first challenge was controlling an underground spring that was discovered during excavation.  An elaborate piping and pump system was engineered to keep the finished basement dry.  Beyond engineering feats, the talents of the R.C. Legnini Company were manifested in the accomplishment of the interior detailing.  The owners knew exactly what they wanted in their new home and their wish list was a long one.  Beginning with a barrel vault foyer ceiling, a mahogany library, and a mahogany and marble solarium to curved plaster crown mouldings, arched cased openings and hideaway panel jamb doors, to the modern computer studio and an indoor lap pool adjoining an exercise room.

Together, the owners, architect and builder have created a unique home which displays truly remarkable style and expertise.  We are all understandably proud.
