Our History

In 1972 R.C. (Bob) Legnini graduates from college and decides to become a carpenter. Working from his garage, Bob establishes a great reputation among residential clients on the Mainline of Philadelphia. Craftsmanship, integrity and value are the hallmarks of the company’s success and word spreads.

In 1989 Mitch Handman and Bob becomes a partner in R.C. Legnini Company. Mitch and Bob plan for the future and are soon working in corporate boardrooms, banks and religious institutions. Rather quickly, Churches and Synagogues, senior living communities, higher education facilities, apartment buildings, and historic buildings, broaden the areas of expertise for R.C. Legnini.

Fast forward twenty-five years to today and R.C. Legnini continues to broaden its’ footprint in many industries, currently operating in 8 states, from Virginia to New Hampshire. Whether it is a new church or the renovation of a 1,400 apartment senior living facility, the same care and dedication to detail are the distinguishing factors that have allowed R.C. Legnini to grow and prosper. One thing that will never change at R.C. Legnini is our commitment to our customers to provide the highest level of craftmanship with uncompromised integrity.
